Marshall Township Wexford PA homes for sale is located in Allegheny County about 20 minutes north of Pittsburgh. Marshall Township was incorporated on June 3, 1863 and was named for Thomas Mercer Marshall, a famous trial lawyer who practiced law in Allegheny County.

Marshall Township is included in the North Allegheny School District. All residents have free access to the Northland Public Library, and public transportation to Pittsburgh is available from several locations.

There are two Native American trails dating from the colonial times that meander through the area. The Venango Trail found in the northeast corner of Marshall is a historic road that follows its course from Pittsburgh to Franklin, PA in Venango County then on to Erie, and Presque Isle. The Kuskusky Path passes through the entire Township from south to north on its way toNew Castle in Lawrence County and cuts its way through the property where Marshall Elementary and Middle Schools are located.

Marshall Township borders Cranberry Township in Butler County to the north, Pine Township to the east and Franklin Park to the south. Marshall Township also surrounds most of Bradford Woods and contains Warrendale as well.

Children attend North Allegheny School District which consists of seven elementary schools, three middle schools, an intermediate high school and senior high school.

Recreational areas in Marshall include Altmyer Park, Knob Hill Community Park, Warrendale Park and a portion of the Pennsylvania State Game Lands.
