Neighborhood of The Glen at Woodside
The Glen at Woodside Cranberry Twp is a master community of 71 homes with a view surrounded by hillsides and beautiful wooded acreage. Within the master community are two sub-communities: Estates at the Glen and Courtyards at the Glen.
Estates at the Glen
Estate lots feature 40 traditional single family homes built by Charter Homes between 2016 and 2019. Lot sizes range from a one-quarter acre to one-third acre home sites located on Overbrook Drive.
Courtyards at the Glen
Courtyard lots feature 31 patio / carriage homes built by Weaver Homes between 2016 and 2018. The homes feature low maintenance living and first floor master bedroom suites located on Brookside Drive. Located on a hill, the homes have beautiful views on level lots.
Originally, the land was purchased on May 12, 2015 by the Glen at Woodside, L.P. for $1,383,000 and consisted of 46.1 acres or $30,000 per acre. The original owner also owned the land now known as Orchard Park located across Darlington Road. Similarly, the Orchard Park land was sold for $30,000 per acre as well, however 9 years earlier on August 17, 2006.
The HOA consists of the master planned community called “The Glen at Woodside” and has a low monthly fee to cover the common areas. There is also a separate HOA called “Courtyards at the Glen Homeowners’ Association” which has a higher fee for the patio / carriage homes. A higher fee covers snow removal, yard maintenance and the common areas of the community.
Amenities for all residents include a community playground and semi-enclosed bus stop located at the entrance. The community coordinates with various food trucks throughout the summer months for residents to enjoy.
The entire community has sidewalks and there are two walking paths that connect to Orchard Park which is across Darlington Road. Residents can also walk north along Powell Road to the Creekwood, Creekwood Commons, and Freedom Woods neighborhoods or south to the Blue Ridge Estates neighborhood. A short distance away at the intersection of Powell Road and Freedom Road is the Freedom Village shopping plaza with a BP gas station, Freedom Market and other amenities.
Children attend Seneca Valley School District. In particular, Haine Elementary School serves grades K-4 and Haine Middle School serves grades 5-6. Both schools are only 5 minutes away from Woodside. Children then move on to Ryan Gloyer Middle School for grades 7-8, Seneca Valley Intermediate for grades 9-10 and Seneca Valley High School for grades 11-12.
Located minutes from I-79, the PA Turnpike and Route 19 and is in close proximity to all the shopping, dining and parks Cranberry Township and Adams Township has to offer. Access the neighborhood from one entry point off Darlington Road between Freedom and Rochester Roads.
