Rich Allen Realtor has lived in Western Pennsylvania all of my life and have witnessed first hand the economic and real estate changes particularly in the last 20 years.  I remember driving through the Cranberry and Wexford areas on our way to visiting family in the Pittsburgh area when much of the land was undeveloped.

I was born and raised in Slippery Rock, attended Grove City College and Slippery Rock University where I obtained degrees in Accounting and Information Technology.  After finishing school at the age of 23, I began my career as an auditor, auditing health insurance plans across the country. 

My home town is a college town and many of my friends lived in rental houses.  I had always heard how most millionaires made it through real estate so the idea of rental properties growing up intrigued me.  I also remember driving through Pittsburgh and thinking every building I see is owned by someone…how can I own properties like this too?

After buying my first home, I started renovating it learning all about plumbing, electric, drywall, painting and carpentry.  A couple years later I bought my first rental home and felt I had finally achieved the first step in becoming a real estate investor.  

A few years later I networked with other real estate investors and learned many other investing techniques such as wholesaling, lease options, raising money and house flipping.
